Suzys’ experience teaching Pilates and fitness spans a decade and a half. Her fitness career began in a small town just outside of Philadelphia PA USA Working alongside chiropractor Dr James Stein for a year Suzy began to study Human Anatomy and physiology for the ACSM her fitness journey had begun.

Returning to the UK in 2005 Suzy soon became qualified as a Sports Injuries Therapist and went on to qualify as a ACSM certified PT, master Personal Trainer and Pilates instructor.

Teaching pilates classes in small halls around fife, and treating sports injuries from her home Pilates and sports massage was popular! It became very clear that a studio and treatment room was necessary.

In December 2006 in sunny St Monans a room above an old garage was found and remodelled and quickly put to use as a studio. With one class on a Monday and one class on a wed evening with 8 people per class Fit to the core was established.

Suzy now has 16 Pilates classes from beginners to advanced level and enjoys the challenge of teaching a range of ages throughout.

She also provides other fitness disciplines :-

Spinning, Hatton Boxing, HIIT, Bootcamps and Personal Training all tailored to suit the students.

Weight management programs and specialist GP Referral weight management programs for obesity and diabetes.

Personal Training to bring your body back in shape post baby.

Pre- wedding Personal Training to get in shape for the big day.

Suzy will be adding ‘Xen strength yoga’ with weights.

Suzys knowledge of human anatomy and biomechanics has enabled her to teach from a platform that produces continuing results with her students.

Suzy is Qualified with the American College of Sports Medicine and premier global international as Master Personal Trainer, Pilates instructor and GP referral specialist in Obesity and Diabetes REPs level 4

Future ambitions includes Health Wellness and life coaching for individuals and small group seminars within the corporate world.

To compliment this she will study hypnotherapy for weight loss and smoking cessation.

And to realise a life long ambition to open a specialist testing Gym facility within fife.

Having always taken part in exercise since my early 20s, it was 2007 when I was introduced to Suzy and began pilates classes. I also attended a gym and was doing random classes every week from spin to body pump.

In 2010 Suzy asked if I would train to be an instructor and take some classes at Fit To The Core. That's where it all started.

I completed my level 2 fitness instructor (ETM) course and started taking some spinning classes.

Then followed a Zumba instructor course and 2 classes a week for 10 months until my Achilles decided it had had enough!

February 2012 saw a trip to London and a PowerPilates mat instructor training course completed. Two weeks later and there were 2 classes up and running.

September 2012 saw me certified as a Spinning Instructor, and taking 4 classes a week.

In May 2013 it was a 2 day course and a qualification in Hatton Boxing for Fitness to advanced level.

Most recently, August 2014, I was delighted to become a certified teacher of Xen Strength Yoga with Weights.

Next up for me is to study towards becoming a certified personal trainer.

I am really enjoying teaching Pilates, seeing the progression week after week, and knowing that I am helping people to have a good strong core and back, that will help them stay fit and active for many years to come.

Having always had a very keen interest in sport playing football and rugby, Chris discovered Spin after his move to Scotland in 2013.

Turning up for that first session was hard enough but boy was i in for a shock. after going though initial new student syndrome I soon grew to love it and have progressed onto complete my Spin instructor Level One qualification in May 2016.

I've also completed an exercise and physiology exam and am now studying Fitness Assessment using the spin methodology as part of my continuing education Spin.

A learning and development manager by day, I use many techniques in coaching and motivation that i have learnt in my 20 years of training work, in my spin sessions.
